                            | Hello! My name is Elise
Johnson. I am Jim’s middle daughter, and as of
November 1st, I have joined the Justapreacher
Ministries team in the position of Media
Developer! Let me tell you a little bit more about
myself and what this means for the
                              ministry.
 I graduated from Florida
State University in 2017 with a degree in product
development and a minor in English. I have worked
in buying and, most recently, as an alterations
expert. I have worked in a range of environments,
from large corporate structures to smaller
non-profits. Through those experiences, God has
been refining the call for my career. Several
months ago, I began to feel what my dad likes to
call a “holy dissatisfaction” with my previous job
as an alterations expert. While I valued the
experience I had gained, I began to feel that the
company was not the right fit for me. So I began
to pray and carefully look for another
                              opportunity.

 Through this process,
God didn’t immediately make clear what my exact
job would be, but he did show me some
characteristics I was looking for in my next job.
These requirements included working for a small,
local company, having a reasonable work/life
balance, and having some creative autonomy. As I
explored jobs that fit these criteria, I began to
feel led toward editing, and other jobs that would
exercise the English side of my education. I was
excited about the prospect of getting back into
writing. I kept looking, and felt I was on the
right track, but did not receive confirmation from
God that any of the jobs I applied to were
                              “it.”

Then one day, my dad approached
me with an idea that God had laid on his heart.
For a while, there have been requests for his
messages in written form, or formatted as Bible
study books. He thought it was a good idea, but
did not have the resources or the time to do it.
He proposed that we pray about that possibly
becoming my job. Immediately, I was excited. I
felt God say “You’re on the right track.” So we
prayed, and discussed more fully what my
responsibilities would be. Once we felt
confirmation from God, dad took it to the ministry
board and they, after prayer and receiving their
own spiritual confirmation, voted to bring me on
staff! I am extremely grateful to God and the
                              ministry for this opportunity.

 In my
position as Media Developer, my primary
                              responsibility will be compiling the
aforementioned Bible study books. I will be
starting with a daily devotional booklet developed
from dad’s radio programs, and next on the list
will be making the chronological Revelation study
from 2015 into a Bible study book. We look forward
to sharing those with you, and as always, all
teaching of God’s word will be freely available to
everyone. In addition to these projects, I will be
taking over Justapreacher’s social media and some
other aspects of the ministry to assist my
                              parents.

I am so, so excited about
what this next year will bring. Pray that God will
direct all of our steps as we explore this new
aspect of the ministry, and thank you so much for
                              your support!

 In Christ’s
                              overwhelming love,

 Elise

                            | Jim’s health is
consistently an example of God’s provision. He is
still cancer free, praise the Lord! However, he
has had terrible back pain for months. God blessed
a couple weeks ago with an explanation for his
pain, and a plan of action to address it. He is
awaiting surgery to relieve the pain, but God’s
miracles are already evident, as the doctors and
nurses don’t know how he’s still walking! God
gives him peace daily. Becky has been hard at
work prepping for the cruise. She is certainly
getting her miles in as a travel agent! She is the
hardest worker I’ve ever known, often up until 10
or 11 P.M. researching things for her clients. She
does her best by absolutely everyone, and her best
                              is fantastic work.
Nicole and Elise got a dog
named Junie in August. She is the sweetest
creature you’ll ever meet! Junie had some trauma
during infancy that permanently deformed her front
left shoulder, so a little less than two weeks ago
she had an amputation. She has bounced right back
from the surgery, and is just the cutest tripawd
                              (pun intended)!
AJ has just moved in with a
couple of close friends from childhood, making mom
and dad officially empty nesters! They’ll never be
able to fully get rid of us though. AJ is excited
for this new freedom and responsibility as he
nears the end of his college career.
